mora art foundation

mora art foundation was created in 1997 by art historian Ulrike Widmaier-Picasso with the aim to support and promote emerging artists. From 1999 to 2001 well-known art advisor Mark Fletcher and her put together a respectable collection.
It currently comprises more than 200 works of art covering a wide range of media such as painting, sculpture, drawing, film, video and photography. Franz Ackermann, Doug Aitken, James Angus, John Bock, Keith Edmier, Olafur Eliasson, Gelitin, Jeppe Hein, Karin Kilimnik, Jochen Klein, Scott Mc Farland, Michel Majerus, Sarah Morris, Shirin Neshat, Noble/Webster, Raymond Pettibon, Elizabeth Peyton, Eva Rothschild, Rudolf Stingel, Wolfgang Tillmans, Lisa Yuskavage and Heimo Zobernig are among some of the artists featured by the foundation.
Professionally stored in Vienna and New York, the collection is available to the public through museum and gallery loans.
Previous collaborations involved: Carnegie International, Kunsthaus Glarus in Switzerland, MUDAM Luxenbourg, MOMA NY, CCS Bard Hessel Museum, Institute of Modern Art, Bendigo Art Gallery, Art Gallery of Western Australia, Musée d’ Art Moderne de la Ville de Paris, Pinakothek der Moderne Munich, Städtisches Museum Abteiberg Mönchengladbach, Kunstverein Hamburg and FRAC Champagne-Ardenne.
In 2019 John Bocks Installation LiquiditätsAuraAromaPortfolio (1998) was donated to the Kunsthalle Mannheim, where it will be shown from October 2019.
The same year Sarah Sze's installation Second Means of Egress (1998) was donated to the Centre Pompidou, Paris.
